Inmate Visitation Policy
The Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s office may provide a visiting area for both inmate and visitor that allows visual and voice communication. No more than a total of eight (8) visits, onsite or online, are allowed in a week period. (Sunday through Saturday.). VISITING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED BETWEEN PERSONS WHO HAVE AN ACTIVE PROTECTIVE ORDER IN PLACE. All visits must be scheduled 24 Hours in advance.
Video Visitation Lobby - The Visitor(s)
- Shall register either in the lobby of the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office atthe provided KIOSKs or go to inmatesales.com to register with complete and accurate information. Visitors found to be using false names or identification will result in suspension of privileges for up to one (1) year. If you have any questions or issues regarding video visitation, please contact CPC Customer Service at 1.877.998.5678.
- May be denied visitation if they have prior criminal convictions, are on parole, or are in community corrections.
- Shall acknowledge the rules and regulations and abide by the posted rules and regulations; and must agree to the rules and regulations before the visit will be granted. Failure to follow rules and regulations may result in suspension and/or termination of privileges. Inappropriate actions may result in suspension/termination of the inmate’s visitation privileges.
- Shall report 10 minutes prior to scheduled visit and login to an open kiosk.
- Shall not bring food or drink into the lobby.
- May only allow children to visit on the first Sunday of the month. Only one child may visit at a time under the supervision of a registered adult visitor. Registered Adult will not be allowed to actively visit. This visit counts toward the eight total visits.
- Shall not use cell phones or any other electronic devices during the visitation session. Violation of this rule may result in suspension of visitation privileges for up to one year.
- May not use rude or vulgar language/behavior.
- May not flash or show inappropriate body parts, masturbate, or preform in a rude or lewd way.
- Shall not wear articles that cover the face as to prevent identification of the visitor.
- Failure to report for scheduled visit will count as a visitation session for both the inmate and the visitor. If you are unable to attend, you must go online and cancel the visit. If there is an emergency situation, you can bring the confirmation of the emergency and speak with the Jail Commander or their designee. Each situation will be evaluated on the information provided.
- Children MUST BE SUPERVISED by an ADULT at all times while in the lobby. This includes video visiting hours and court time. Children are NOT allowed near the visitation monitors except during juvenile visitations (first Sunday of every month). If a child is found to be unsupervised in the lobby, or in a vehicle, you will be asked to leave until the appropriate child care is found. Video Visitation - Online Visitation

If you have any questions or issues regarding video visitation, please contact CPC Customer Service at 1.877.998.5678.
- Shall acknowledge the rules and regulations and abide by them; and must agree to the rules and regulations before the visit will be granted. Failure to follow rules and regulations will result in the suspension and/or termination of visitation privileges. Inappropriate actions will also result in suspension/termination of the inmate’s visitation privileges.
- Shall not use cell phones or any other electronic devices during the visitation session. Violation of this rule will result in suspension of visitation privileges for up to one year.
- When using cell phone as the visitation platform, SHALL not take screen shots, record the visit, or employ any other secondary use of the phone during the visit.
- Only the person or persons registered may visit. No other individual may partake in the visit in any context.
- Shall not use rude or vulgar language/behavior.
- Shall not flash or show of body parts, masturbate or perform in a rude, vulgar or lewd act.
- Shall not wear articles that cover the face, as to prevent identification of the visitor.
- Failure to report for scheduled visit will count as a visitation session for both the inmate and the visitor. If you are unable to attend, you must go online and cancel the visit. If there is an emergency situation, you can bring the confirmation of the emergency and speak with the Jail Commander or their designee. Each situation will be evaluated on the information provided
- Proper lighting must be utilized, as to be able to see and identify the visitor and their surroundings. If the visitor cannot be seen, the visit will be canceled.

The Inmate
- Shall not use rude or vulgar language during the visit session.
- Shall not allow any other inmate to participate, partake, talk to, or communicate in any way with the visitor. Violations will result in termination of the visit session.
- Shall be at the kiosk at the time of the visit.
- If the inmate is on lockdown, and/or reclassified to another unit prior to the visit session, and the time in the new unit is already accounted for, the session shall be terminated and the visitor will have to reschedule the visit.
- Shall be responsible for notifying visitors or potential visitors if they are attending classes during specific times of the day. If a session is scheduled and the inmate chose to attend classes it will count as a session for the inmate and the visitor.
- Inmate is responsible for all actions of their visitor.
- Shall not interfere with any other inmate prior to - or during - their visit.
- May retrieve a notification of upcoming scheduled visits from the kiosk.
- Shall not ask the pod officer who the visitor is. If you do not want to visit them, tell the visitor - or do not attend the visit. @(Model.BulletStyle == CivicPlus.Entities.Modules.Layout.Enums.BulletStyle.Decimal ? "ol" : "ul")>
