Where to Dispose of
Aluminum/Metal Scraps - You can take all scrap metal including ovens, cars, metal fencing, washers, dryers, hot water heaters, etc. (no lead acid batteries or CFC containing appliances) to:

Don't mix in antifreeze, water or other contaminants. Bring contaminated motor oil to the Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off at the Transfer Station at 2770 North 9th Street. Bring up to five gallons of uncontaminated motor oil at a time free.
Auto supply stores such as Autozone also accept used oil for recycling. Please contact the store for more information.

Refrigerators/Freezers/Air Conditioners/Dehumidifiers - These contain CFC's cannot be put out for trash disposal. Call Tippecanoe County Solid Waste for a list of area vendor's certified to reclaim CFC's and recycle the appliance at 765-423-2858. All charge fees for pickup and disposal.
