This historical park is located on South River RD, approximately 4 miles south of the intersection of State Street and South River Road. The east boundary of the park is the Wabash River and has a concrete boat ramp making river access possible. There are 2 picnic shelters available for reservation - the River Shelter will seat 100, the East Shelter seats 60. Shelters have electricity and may be reserved by telephoning the park department office at 765-463-2306. A $25 donation is suggested for the convenience of securing a shelter reservation.
Blockhouse Museum
The Tippecanoe County Historical Association operates the Blockhouse Museum located in the park. Call TCHA for hours of operation at 765-476-8411. TCHA conducts historical programs and demonstrations at the park, including the Feast of the Hunter's Moon, a re-creation of French and Indian life in the 17th Century.
