Comprehensive Plan Amendments


RESOLUTION 2017-01:  THE 2045 METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLAN:
The APC is required to update the long range transportation plan every five years to maintain the community's eligibility to receive federal transportation funds.  The Plan is a capital budgeting tool that documents the transportation needs for the next 26 years.  It was developed in cooperation with participating jurisdictions, and has been approved by the MPO Policy Board.  A copy of the Plan and an Executive Summary can be found at http://www.tippecanoe.in.gov/APC.

Ordinance Amendments


UZO AMENDMENT #88 - TRANSIENT RENTALS:
Based on decisions reached at the June 7th Ordinance Committee meeting, this revised amendment would add regulations regarding transient rental accommodations to Chapters 1, 3, 4, and 5.  Continued from the February 15th APC meeting where this amendment was tabled.

1.

S-4685 Foxfire at Valley Lakes Subdivision, Phase 2 (major-preliminary):

**Continue to the August 16th Area Plan Commission meeting.**
Petitioner is seeking primary approval for a 2-lot multi-family subdivision on 39.677 acres.  This is a replat of the original development plus additional acreage that includes all of the existing buildings and parking on the new Lot 1.  Lot 2 will include a total of 194 units in 11 new buildings.  The site is located on the east side of Regal Valley Drive, just south of Veterans Memorial Parkway, in Lafayette, Wea 9 (SE) 22-4.  Continued from the June APC meeting because of a filing deficiency.
2.

S-4690 ELLIOTT INDUSTRIAL PARK SUBDIVISION, PH. 3, REPLAT OF LOT 1 (minor-sketch):

Petitioner is seeking primary approval to replat one lot (plus one outlot) on 3.09 acres, located on the east side of Concord Road, just south of Brady Lane, in Lafayette, Wea 3 (SE) 22-4.  Continued from the July Executive Committee meeting.

Petitioner is seeking primary approval for a 12 lot rural estate subdivision (plus 2 outlots) on 40.89 acres, located on the north side of CR 900 N, just west of SR 43 North, in Tippecanoe 4 (SE) 24-4.  Continued from the July Executive Committee meeting because soil testing was not completed.
4.

S-4695 Sagamore Commons Subdivision, Revised (major-preliminary):

**Continue to the August 16th APC meeting at petitioner's request.**
Petitioner is seeking primary approval to revise a six lot commercial subdivision on 28.4 acres, located on the southwest side of Sagamore Parkway West, just north of the Cumberland Avenue intersection, in West Lafayette, Wabash 1 (S1/2) 23-5.

S-4697 Tippecanoe Memory Gardens (minor-sketch):

Petitioner is seeking primary approval for one lot on 4.077 acres located on the east side of Morehouse Road, approximately 1/4 mile north of Kalberer Road (CR 350 N) in Wabash 1 (NW) 23-5.

S-4698 Cumberland Crossing Subdivision (major-preliminary):

Petitioner is seeking primary approval for a 7 lot commercial subdivision (plus 2 outlots) on 20.62 acres, located at the southwest corner of US 231 and Cumberland Avenue, in West Lafayette, Wabash 11 (NE) 23-5.

Rezoning Activities

1.

Z-2688 Habitat for Humanity of Lafayette, Inc. (R1 to R1B):

Petitioner is requesting rezoning of 1.41 acres (revised to 1.07 acres on July 13th) located at the northwest corner of Powder House Lane and Walker Lane.  Petitioner has filed a revised, draft, 7 lot major subdivision layout on this site; the existing home would be razed and 7 homesites would be platted.  The existing address is 204 Walker Lane, Lafayette, Fairfield 31 (NE) 23-4.  Continued from the June APC meeting by inconclusive vote.  Last continuance.
2.

Z-2692 Core West Lafayette State Street, LLC (The Hub Plus on State Street PD)(CBW to PDMX):

Petitioner is requesting rezoning of approximately 1 acre in order to construct a mixed-use building  that steps down from 11-stories to 10-stories and contains between 200-260 units with a maximum of 630 bedrooms, approximately 13,240 square feet of ground floor retail and a 200 space internal parking garage.  The property is located at 101 and 111-117 State Street, West Lafayette, Wabash 19 (SE) 23-4.

Z-2695 Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, Inc. (R1 to I2):

Petitioner is requesting rezoning of 4.077 acres (Tippecanoe Memory Gardens minor subdivision, Lot 1) in order to build a proposed crematory on property located near the northeast corner of the existing cemetery property, approximately 1000' north of Kalberer Road, and 750' east of Morehouse Road, Wabash 1 (NW) 23-5.

Z-2696 R. Gregg Sutter (Abby Marle Rural Estate)(A to RE):

Petitioner is requesting rezoning of a 12.032 acre tract located in the "Abby Marle" parcelization/development in order to divide it into three lots in the proposed Abby Marle Rural Estate subdivision (RE-0068).  The site in question is located at the northeast corner of CR 725 N and Abby Marle East, more specifically, 7301 Abby Marle E, Tippecanoe 16 (SW) 24-4.
