Notice: The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office no longer processes standard ink fingerprint cards for firearm permits. Only electronic fingerprints will be accepted for Firearm Permits as of January 4, 2013.
Note: There is an additional fee of $9.95 to obtain Electronic Fingerprints. When you have finished completing the
Online Gun/Firearm Application, you must schedule an appointment to have your fingerprints taken electronically.
L-1 Enrollment Services
Go to the
MorphoTrust USA L-1 Enrollment Services and schedule your appointment online
or call MorphoTrust USA, L-1 Enrollment Services at 877-472-6917. You must have your application number available when scheduling your appointment.
Note: Payment must be made to L1-Enrollment and must include state fee and licensing fee
and must be in the form of either a cashiers check or money order.
Application Finalization
Once you have completed the online application and have had your fingerprints taken electronically, then you must come in person to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office to finalize your application request.
You must show a valid government issued photo ID and pay the local application fee.
Note: Applicants with no criminal history typically get the new carry permit mailed to them within a few weeks.
